Delivery
RECEIVING YOUR BEDDER WAY WALL BED
The Bedder Way Co., in conjunction with HomeDirectUSA, strives to provide a positive, stress-free experience with every delivery. Whether you’re in the busiest city high rise, or the quietest country cottage, HomeDirectUSA will provide professionally trained and experienced delivery personnel.
Unlike ANY of our competitors, our STANDARD delivery is made by a two man delivery team. The delivery team will carry all of the packages INTO your home for you. Our standard delivery service even includes carrying the packages up as many as 2 flights of stairs (if you live in a building with an elevator, please call for more details). This service is offered NATIONWIDE (Continental United States) and is available to ALL Bedder Way customers.
When your Wall Bed arrives, the bed will come fully boxed:
Box 1: Face of the wall bed (size of a Twin/Double/Queen box spring) Box 2: Two side Verticals, Headboard, Header, Crown, Pistons, Instructions, Parts Bag
Side Cabinets (if ordered) are shipped fully assembled, one box per cabinet.
THE DELIVERY PROCESS
Once your wall bed has been completed and leaves our facility, you will receive an email notification. This notification, emailed to the address you provide when you place an order, will include tracking information, along with other valuable information to let you know what to expect. Then, 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery, a HomeDirectUSA representative will call to schedule a 4 hour delivery window for delivery of your wall bed. You will simply need to meet the delivery team to show them the location in your home to place the packages. Once you have received your wall bed, and you have verified that it is in proper condition, installation is a breeze.
We are proud to trust HomeDirectUSA with transporting our wall beds and side cabinets from our facility to our customers. As a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bekins Company, a 110-year old transportation services provider, HomeDirectUSA provides home delivery of large consumer products, specifically furniture, nationwide. As a matter of fact, dedicated home delivery of these large consumer products is all HomeDirectUSA does. Some of their clients include Restoration Hardware®, Pottery Barn®, Simmons®, Sealy®, Serta®, Costco®, Sam’s Club®, Spiegel® and Neiman-Marcus®, to name a few.
OUR COMPETITOR’S DELIVERY PROCESS
Other wall bed companies only offer curbside delivery. This means you must off load, uncrate, and carry the individual pieces inside by yourself. This requires two people to be present at the time of delivery, or you must pay for an additional person to help. We recognized this as an inconvenience and, therefore, made an effort to provide a higher level of service. Not only do we offer more service for the money, our shipping rates are generally less expensive than any of our competition!
Tracking Your Wall Bed
Once your wall bed leaves our facility a tracking number is emailed to the email address that you provided when placing your order. You will be able to track your wall bed until it reaches the hub nearest the shipping address. A representative from HomeDirectUSA will call prior to delivery, in order to set up a delivery time. Damage During Transport
One of the main reasons we use HomeDirectUSA is their professional handling of our product.
In the case of damage during transport, please either make note of damage on the delivery receipt and keep the bed, or refuse the package. Any damaged piece will be replaced as quickly as possible. Please note: claims are filed and processed faster if you make note of the damage on the delivery receipt.

Installation
Installation of our wall beds is done by the customer. We provide step-by-step installation instructions that are easy to follow, along with our Toll Free number for any questions you or your installer may have. It is not uncommon for our customer to hire a Handyman or Contractor to install their wall bed project for them. The installation is very easy; in fact 90% of our customers install the bed themselves. Side Cabinets DO NOT need to be assembled. Side Cabinets are mounted to the side of the wall bed after it is attached to your wall.
Our wall beds come in 2 boxes, which will contain 6 pieces when they are unpackaged.

Wall Attachment
Our wall beds are wall mounted, which means they attach to the studs in your wall at the top of the bed only. The Bed sits on top of your existing flooring like a normal piece of furniture.
Since the wall bed needs to sit up Flush against your wall, we notch out the back bottom part of the wall bed to fit over your base-molding (as seen below). If you do not have base-molding, please give us a call or email after placing your order. THE NOTCH OUT IS 5 inch HIGH, by 1 inch WIDE.
Please Note that your wall bed MUST be securely mounted to the studs in your wall, or brick / concrete (your wall type). The Bedder Way Co. is not responsible if you or whomever installs your wall bed, does not attach to your wall properly.
